Ingredients
2 cups of cooked rice
1 pound of chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup of honey
1/2 cup of BBQ sauce
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
Mix together the honey and BBQ sauce in a bowl until well combined.
Pour the sauce over the chicken in the skillet and stir to coat the chicken evenly.
Add the cooked rice to the skillet, mixing it with the chicken and sauce until all are combined.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, just until everything is heated through.
Garnish with chopped green onions if desired and serve warm.
Notes
Ensure that the chicken is fully cooked by checking it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
