Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined.
Season the Chicken: Sprinkle salt and pepper evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts to enhance flavor.
Heat the Pan: In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the chicken is cooked through.
Add the Sauce: Pour the brown sugar mixture over the chicken. Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the chicken nicely.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Don’t overcook the chicken, use fresh garlic for the best flavor, and feel free to experiment with heat.
