A quick and easy recipe for pan-seared chicken thighs that delivers juicy, flavorful meat with crispy skin, perfect for hectic weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a large skillet and heat over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Generously sprinkle the chicken thighs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure the seasonings cover both sides for maximum flavor.
  3. Carefully place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  4. Turn the chicken thighs over and reduce the heat to medium. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F.
  5. Remove the chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For the best crispy skin, ensure the chicken skin is dry before seasoning and cooking. Avoid overcrowding the skillet to prevent steaming.
