A delightful dish featuring tender chicken coated in a savory garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and chicken broth. Set this mixture aside for later.
  2. Heat the oil: In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Cook the chicken: Add the sliced chicken to the pan and cook it for about 5-7 minutes, or until it is browned and cooked through.
  4. Add garlic: Once the chicken is fully cooked, add the minced garlic and stir-fry for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  5. Combine with sauce: Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
  6. Finish with sesame oil: Drizzle the sesame oil over the chicken and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
  7. Serve: Serve the chicken hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Chicken breast should be sliced into uniform pieces for even cooking. Add garlic last to prevent burning, and taste the sauce before serving to adjust flavors.
