A deliciously easy dish that transforms chicken cutlets into a flavorful meal with a rich, creamy sauce infused with lemon and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into cutlets
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken cutlets generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken cutlets and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning. Whisk until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spoon the creamy sauce over the top, and simmer for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Chicken breasts should be sliced thin for quicker cooking. Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version or use vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.
