A fun and unique twist on a classic appetizer perfect for Halloween gatherings, these deviled eggs feature a creamy, zesty filling and a spooky presentation.

Ingredients

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Cherchies® Hot Banana Pepper Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Black olives (for decoration)
  • Red food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the eggs: Cut the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and gently remove the yolks. Place the whites on a serving platter.
  2. Mix the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the yolks with mayonnaise, Cherchies® Hot Banana Pepper Mustard, vinegar, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Fill the egg whites: Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the hollows of the egg whites, creating a generous filling.
  4. Add the ‘pupil’: Slice the black olives and place one slice in the center of each filled egg to create the ‘pupil’ of the eye.
  5. Spooky touch: For a creepy appearance, add a drop of red food coloring around the ‘pupil’ to resemble blood.
  6. Chill and serve: Refrigerate before serving to let the flavors meld. Enjoy your spooky appetizer!

Notes

The Cherchies® Hot Banana Pepper Mustard gives a nice kick, but you can substitute with any mustard you prefer. Red food coloring is optional; use it for a more dramatic effect.
