Lightly spiced and perfectly crispy snacks that are easy to make and perfect for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1 cup cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Assorted vegetables (carrots, celery, bell peppers)
  • 1 cup hummus or ranch dip
  • 6 hot dogs
  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • Mustard or ketchup (for eyes)
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 package brownie mix
  • 1 cup white chocolate melts
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into small squares. Place a piece of cheese in the center of each square, fold the corners over, and press to seal. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Wash and cut assorted vegetables into fun shapes using cookie cutters. Arrange them on a platter with a bowl of hummus or ranch dip in the center for easy munching.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). While it’s heating, unroll the crescent roll dough and cut it into thin strips. Wrap each hot dog with the strips, leaving gaps for “eyes.” Bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Dot mustard or ketchup for the eyes once cooled slightly.
  4. Hard boil eggs, let them cool, then peel and slice in half. Remove the yolks and mix them with mayonnaise, mustard, and paprika. Spoon or pipe the mixture back into the egg whites, dust with extra paprika for a pumpkin look.
  5. Prepare brownie mix according to package instructions and pour into a baking dish. Once cooled, cut into squares and melt white chocolate. Drizzle ghost-like shapes over each brownie, using chocolate chips for eyes.
