Delightful homemade Pumpkin Bread that bursts with autumn flavors, perfect for cozy evenings or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) – optional
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips – optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended and smooth.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Add nuts or chocolate chips if desired, folding them in gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool the bread in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
