Fluffy, buttery biscuits that are quick and easy to make, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter, fork, or your fingers to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Knead gently for about 30 seconds.
  6. Roll the dough to about 1 inch thick and cut out biscuits.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.

Notes

Ensure butter is cold for the best texture. Avoid overmixing to keep biscuits tender.
